It’s that time of year again…. some people absolutely love Valentine’s Day and go all out to impress and others hate the commercial side – but be honest, have you ever felt a bit disappointed if no one makes a bit of fuss about you on Valentines Day? It doesn’t have to be a big gesture or all about celebrating your romantic partner either. What about celebrating your friendships or your love for your kids? Here is a quick round up of Valentine’s gift ideas.
The Selfridges Valentine Selection
I love this bunch of flowers exclusively from Selfridges – traditional red Valentine’s roses with a touch of English garden to make it ever so sweet.
Speaking of sweet, how about this DIY Biscuit tin from Biscuiteers? It comes with all the bits and bobs for decorating your own Heart shaped biscuits. I am so excited about decorating these with the kids.
I cannot go past Diptyque candles. They are divine and this Limited edition rose scented candle just has perfect Valentines gift written all over it.
A few things for the men: there is this special Saint Laurent pebbled leather card holder I’ve got my eye on too with four card slots and a larger compartment for money. Another option is this Comme Des Garcons cotton T-shirt with the cute embroidered signature heart logo design:
The Marks and Spencer Valentine Selection
Marks and Spencer have curated an impressive Valentine selection as well – I am sure I am not the only Mum to be excited the Colin the Caterpillar has his own Valentines range. This little bag of goodies will keep the littles ones busy. There are also these Letterbox brownies are a treat to be sent to someone who you cant be together with on Valentine’s Day but they look so yummy that I am tempted to send them to myself
Another bunch of gorgeous flowers to choose from here too – the With all my Love Bouquet is a beautiful winter garden mix sourced from trusted and sustainable M&S growers
I am loving the vintage look of this Bustier by British designer Damaris Evans – a special collaboration for Marks & Spencer … but I am not sure if it counts as a gift to me or to Mr Vardy.
For men young and old there is this impressive The Connoisseur’s Choice Red wine gift box to sink into with him
This Mixologist’s selection of chocolates filled with cocktail flavours is another special find
and finally, for those who enjoy the C word (like me) here is the perfect Valentine’s card for your favourite c**t…..
